New: The 30-Day Rebound Method

You did the work. Speed still won't move.

Your strings have been doing part of the picking for you. Take that away for 30 days. Then feel what happens when it comes back.

Fast alone. Messy together.

Your picking hand is fast enough.
Your fretting hand is fast enough.

But put them together at speed and one starts leaving the other behind.

Push the metronome and the notes get sloppy.
Slow down enough to clean them up and the speed disappears.

So you sneak legato into a run you wanted to fully pick. Or it feels tight while you play, then you hit record and hear every little separation you missed.

Meanwhile, that same tempo keeps sitting there.

Month after month.
Sometimes year after year.

The ceiling isn't your hands.

Every time your pick hits a string, the string pushes back.

That rebound helps carry the pick away and into the next stroke. It has been there on every note you have ever played, so you have never had anything to compare it to.

The hours were real.
The practice was real.
The effort was real.

But your picking hand was never working alone.

Part of every stroke was being done by the string itself.

So if you have spent years wondering why more practice and more analysis never moved the ceiling, there is another answer:

You have never trained your picking hand without the instrument helping it.

Make your picking hand do it all

I mute the strings with a cloth until they feel stiff and dead under the pick.

The rebound disappears.

Now the string cannot help carry your pick away.
Every stroke is yours.

The motion. The timing. The control.

It is the same principle as a drummer training on a dead practice pad, then going back to a snare with natural rebound.

And there is nothing else to buy.

Any cloth works. I use a cleaning cloth that came free with one of my guitars.

But the cloth is the easy part.
What matters is the order you train in.

For 25 days, I take you through a progression that gets harder as your picking hand adapts.

Then comes Day 26.
The cloth comes off.
The resistance disappears.

And for the final five days, you find out what your picking hand can do when the string starts helping again.

The progression is already built

Thirty days. Six blocks.
Every exercise already mapped out in the order your hand needs it.

Stop guessing what to practice

No random drills. No jumping ahead.
No wondering if today's work connects to tomorrow's.

I built the 30 days so every block prepares your picking hand for the next one.

Days 1–5 · The Anchor Strike

One string. No transitions. Build the motion before adding complexity.

Days 6–10 · The Crossover

Now move between strings while the fretting hand stays out of the way.

Days 11–15 · The Pulse Ladder

Your fretting hand joins. Now both hands have to stay together through changing rhythms.

Days 16–20 · The Reach

The hardest block on purpose. I put it here because your hand has spent 15 days preparing for it.

Days 21–25 · The Sequence Run

Take the resistance work into a real harmonic minor sequence you could use in a solo.

Days 26–30 · The Release

After 25 days, the cloth comes off.

The resistance is gone.
The string gives back again.

And now you get to feel what the entire progression was building toward.

Press play. Do today's work.
Then move on when the five days are done.

This is what Day 26 looks like

Twenty-five days with the resistance on. Now the cloth comes off.

Every exercise video works like this. No intro. No talking. No waiting around.

Press play, loop it, and get straight to the work.

Everything you need to do the work

  • 6 training blocks across 30 days
  • 16 no-talking exercise videos
  • Tempo options from 40 to 100 BPM
  • PDF + Guitar Pro for every exercise
  • 32 play-along backing tracks
  • Full method walkthrough
Rebound Method course materials and product stack

Every exercise gives you two ways to practice.

First, play with my guitar in the track until your hands feel locked in.

Then take my guitar out.
Now it is only you.

You hear immediately if the picking is tight, if the hands are separating, or if something you thought was clean was being covered by the mix.

Everything is here. Start for $47.

The full 30-day progression, all 16 exercises, every backing track, and every notation file. Nothing else to buy. Nothing else to piece together.

This is the work I live in

I am Bernth. A huge part of my playing and teaching has been built around picking speed, hand synchronization, and staying clean when the tempo gets high.

I have spent years breaking down why picking gets tight, sloppy, or out of sync when players push past their ceiling.

This 30-day method comes from that same work.

Guitarists saw this and tried it

When I showed this exact method publicly on YouTube, guitarists started testing it, comparing it to other forms of resistance training, and explaining why the rebound principle made sense to them.

These are public reactions to that video.
They are not testimonials from this course.

@orandachildren1051

"Tried it, didn't feel anything...and then...oh wait!....Update: I'm faster at everything after only doing the cloth thing for 10 mins. Sounds fake but it worked."

@sdi87hhk

"oh wtf you mad scientist in disguise, it works!!!"

@LiquidVela

"My classical teacher always had me practice with a washcloth or towel under the strings. This helps tremendously."

@rafael-n2k5p

"Flamenco and Classical guitar players use this approach. This is a fantastic application on this particular instrument."

@davidmultimedia2024

"As soon as you explained the cloth killing the rebound, I instantly thought of the drum practice pad comparison. It totally makes sense, but never thought of applying this principle on the guitar."

@brooklynsoundgarage

"What it really shows is that people having trouble with speed are not paying attention closely to physical string interaction that was always there but not accessed 🔥🔥🔥"

This is for you if…

  • Both hands are fast, but not together
  • Your tempo has been stuck for months or years
  • Speed comes only when cleanliness disappears
  • You are tired of random drills and no clear plan
  • You are willing to give it the full 30 days

This is not for you if…

  • You want theory, modes, or fretboard training
  • You want to learn songs or write solos
  • You want a shortcut without daily practice
  • You want to train something other than picking

The program is 30 days.
So is the guarantee.

Go through the entire progression.
Train with the resistance. Take the cloth off.
See what changed.

If it did not work for you, send me one email within 30 days and I will refund every dollar.

A few things to clear up

Doesn't muting make the string easier to hit?

It can make the string move less. But that is separate from rebound.

Normally, the string pushes back and helps carry your pick away after contact. Remove that rebound and your hand has to generate and control the full stroke itself.

How much time does this take each day?

15 to 20 minutes. That is the whole session. One exercise, done properly, at a tempo you can actually control.

You are not adding an hour to your practice. You are replacing part of it.

What level is this for?

This is built for the intermediate player who has hit a plateau.

If you are still learning your first chords and scales, start elsewhere. If your picking is already fast, clean, and locked in at every tempo you want, you do not need this.

But if you can play, you have put in real hours, and the tempo has stopped moving anyway, this was made for you.

Will this mess up my palm muting?

The cloth is removed for the final five days. That is intentional. You finish the method playing with normal string response again instead of spending all 30 days under muted conditions.

Can't I mute with my fretting hand instead?

Yes, you can. The cloth is not the product.

The product is the 30-day progression: 16 exercises in a specific order, notation, backing tracks, and the final transition back to normal strings.

Am I too old, or are my hands too small?

No one can honestly promise where your personal ceiling is. But starting later, having smaller hands, or struggling right now does not mean clean, fast picking is off the table for you.

Technique responds to training. Give it the 30 days.

What do I need to start?

A guitar and any cloth. I use a cleaning cloth that came free with one of my guitars.

The backing tracks are included, so you do not need a metronome.

What if I don't own Guitar Pro?

No problem. Every exercise also includes PDF notation. Guitar Pro is optional.

How long do I have access?

Lifetime access. Buy it once and it stays in your account. Run the 30 days now, then come back and run it again whenever your picking needs a reset.

You got fast without this. Why do I need it?

You don't need a cloth to become a fast guitarist. This is one training method for making your picking hand work harder before returning to normal string rebound.

It is a tool, not the only path.

What if it doesn't work for me?

You have 30 days. Go through the method. Take the cloth off. See what changed. If it did not work for you, send me one email for a full refund.

No questions asked.

Thirty days. Then you'll know.

You already know what more of the same practice has done. This is the launch price: $47 right now. When I end the launch, it returns to $149.
