If fast playing has ever felt overwhelming or out of control, you’re not alone. This is one of the most common frustrations I hear from guitarists once they start pushing higher tempos. At a certain speed, thinking about every single note simply stops working—and that’s where most players get stuck.

In this lesson, I wanted to share a simple but powerful mental shift that completely changed the way I approach synchronization at speed. Instead of overanalyzing every note, you’ll learn how to anchor your focus on the notes that truly matter—the ones that fall on the beat. Once those are solid, the notes in between start falling into place naturally over time.

This is exactly how I practice and think when playing fast, and I hope it gives you clarity and confidence in your own practice. Take your time with it, experiment, and most importantly, listen and feel rather than forcing speed.
